Parent Partnership
It is at home that a student’s understanding of virtue is cultivated and instilled. The work of LLS will not be successful without a shared commitment with our families to nurture the student. It is in partnership that school, church, and parents work together to instill character in the students.
Because LLS meets Tuesday through Thursday, and home assignments are completed on Monday and Friday, Parents must be available to supervise their students on the days that LLS is not in session. Students will need direction, reinforcement, and much accountability on those days.

2025 Summer Reading Lists
Reading is the gateway to knowledge. There is no more valuable learning activity. Our summer reading program is designed to encourage year-round immersion in literature. We also encourage families to read aloud and listen to audio books.
We have provided the following summer reading lists to assist you in selecting the best literature available for each age. The number of books is not as important as the quality of books and the time spent reading.
School Uniforms and Spirit Wear
LLS is a classical, Christian school with a unique culture of discipline, tradition, and excellence. Our uniform policy and dress standards are designed to help our students realize that the work they are doing in the classroom is important and serious. Uniforms encourage students to distinguish themselves through their character and not their appearance.

LLS Uniforms are purchased through Highlands Uniforms.

Spirit Wear
Spirit wear may be purchased through the Upper School front office. Spirit wear is worn on special LLS Spirit Days scheduled throughout the year.
