Education begins with the end in mind.
Why Lexington Latin School?
At LLS, we believe education is about more than just knowledge. Our ambition is to train the mind to think clearly and the heart to love rightly. After all, most of what we do is driven primarily not by what we know but by what we love.
A classical, Christian education aims for nothing less than to help students recognize and love all that is true and good and beautiful. To do so, we study the great ideas and art passed down to us by those who have sought out the truth before us: from Greece, Rome, and Jerusalem to Christ’s Church over the centuries.
By giving our time and attention to what is good and true, we seek to cultivate in students a desire to conform themselves to the goodness and truth they find in their studies—and, ultimately, to conform themselves to Christ, who is the fount of all goodness and truth.
“What we have loved, others will love; and we will teach them how.”
— William Wordsworth
